The family just got a little beastlier Leave a comment
What is it? H says he may be part German Shepherd, part wolf, part pit bull. Hard to say. The county animal shelter’s paperwork said he was a “happy dog”. I’m waiting on a full moon to find out for sure. See more beastly pics in the Beast Gallery.

Downtown Zombie Takeover Leave a comment
Here are some zombie pics from Saturday night. A frightful green headed phantasm from beyond, and a run-down, over-the-hill librarian zombie, not to mention a creepy little brain-eater (prefers chocolate brains). I’m still not sure if the big hole in Main Street is really construction, or perhaps the city is digging a mass grave for the undead? Whatever, i’m barricading myself in one of the boarded-up businesses and i’m not coming out until daylight.
Hope all the undead had as great a time as we did. Check out the rest of the Zombie album, if you dare.
Gameday: Scramblers vs Stingers Leave a comment
Fun game between El Scram and U7 Sting, who were looking a little like the old NASL Chicago Sting (is that Pato Margetic with the hair?). I lost track of the score, but if was a good game with the egg-beaters becoming world class players. C. also getting pretty good with the pics.
Game Day: Scram vs U8 Gators Leave a comment
Another week, another older more experienced team. Scramblers hung in there, but got a littled gassed at the end, to the tune of 7-4. At least it wasn’t 52 – 0 or, whatever Boise State did while they were in town. Henry, Matteo, Carlo had Golassos. No pics, because assistant photography director/idiot coach forgot the camera battery.

Game day: Scramblers vs Superkids Leave a comment
Coaches keep their jobs for at least another week.
An exciting weekend of action in the U7 Premiership had the SuperKids taking on a Scram team still looking for its first goal of the season. All the scramblers looked a little gun shy after last weeks pounding, and quickly fell behind by several goals. It didn’t help that the umbrella shade being blown around was serving as a happy distraction on the sideline. Over juice and snack bars, it was decided to switch around the personnel, hoping to find the right combination. Whatever it was worked, and Los Scramblers quickly reeled off 5 goals. S-kids got one back but the day belonged to the egg-beaters. It was a fun game to watch and all the kids were happy and are learning the game, slowly but surely. Congrats to Carlo, Saturday’s birthday boy. Will they continue improving against the U-8 R Gators in two weeks? Check out more pics of this week’s action in the Scramblers gallery.
