Hello Everybody!
July 4th has come and gone, but we still have something to show you! After all the fireworks, sparklers, and firecrackers, we decided to have some fun with exposure shots. We used Neon Sparklers to create circles, zig-zags, figure eights, and more! So we decided to choose a certain photo that we liked to show you how much fun we had this 4th of July. All of us here at henrydryden.net hope you had a amazing 4th of July, and that you didn’t blow your hand of! Anyway, Happy 4th Everybody

This summer, the Pierard family met up in Orlando, FL for a family vacation! It was a amazing success, totaling 7 days of awesomeness, (6/20/16-6/27/16). On our first full day at Orlando we went to Universal Studios, and had a time! We saw Harry Potter World, Simpsons World, Men in Black, and More! My favorite part was Simpsons World, because it felt like you really were in Springfield, and that the rides were fun, but not intense. Both Harry Potter World and MIB both come pretty close, but just not as high. Great place though! On our second full day, we decided to take a break from the theme park world, and we paddle-boated, and then decided to go swimming. Favorite part of the Day: Seeing a gator while paddle-boating! On our 3rd day we decided to go to Kennedy Space Center to see a satellite launch. We visited many of the museums there and had a great time! Favorite Part of the Day: Trying out the many simulators in the Atlantis Museum (still in Kennedy Space Center)! The next day David and I decided to see both the Ripley’s Museum and The Upside Down House (or WonderWorks). Both were amazing, and I especially enjoyed some cool vortex-like tunnels we went through at both places. We played Laser Tag, watched a 4-D Movie, and viewed some of Earths Craziest Things! Overall, almost as good as Universal! The last full day David and I visited the Orlando Science Center, which wasn’t exactly for kids my age, but still a little interesting. Favorite Part of the Day: Viewing a Movie on Humpback Whales that was projected in a planetarium-like building! We had to leave the next day, so it was kind of sad leaving some of the attractions unseen, but it was most certainly a place I would recommend going to! Pictures from the trip are coming soon!

Last Saturday and Sunday, the NM Venom participated in the Duke City Shootout, a local soccer tournament. They didn’t have the best start, losing 1-0 in there first game, but improved and got a win, 9-0. They made it to the Semi-Finals, and won once again. They were heading to the final. After a outstanding first half they were leading by 4. The other team came back, but the Venom held up with the pressure, surviving and winning 4-3. The Venom were crowned champions of the Duke City Shootout!
Hey everyone,
This spring break, the whole Dryden/Pierard family (excluding Lincoln) went on a grand tour to southern Utah. The whole trip was full of surprises. For one example, we met a hiker who had just had a 800 mile hike on the Arizona Trail. As for a summary of the trip, we ventured to Flagstaff for the first night, then moved onto Kanab, where we found possibly the greatest hotel in the US. Of course, we did lots of hiking around the area, including the Zion and Escalante area, as well as some slot canyon hikes. We only got one night of camping because everything was booked up. Overall it was a very surprising trip, with a lot of hiking. I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you have any extra questions or comments email us hank@henrydryden.net

I’m now on a new soccer team! The team is called the NM Venom, and it is a competitive team in the top AYSO bracket. I play as a Right/Left Mid and Forward, rand the expectations are very high. So far we have played 4 games: 2 friendlies and 2 games that counted, (we lost both of them 🙁 .) I am #16 and if you want to see some pics, just ask me at hank@henrydryden.net!
See you soon,
Henry
