Scram comes from behind but gets spooked and suffers first loss of the season

Saturday the undefeated Eggos faced off against the U-6 Roadrunners at the Hadley fields. The scram quickly fell behind  2 – 0 and had trouble dealing with the speedy Roadrunners. Not used to facing a deficit, the Scramlets soon adjusted and right before half-time Henry’s low strike into the side netting tied it up at  3-3. Carlo added another to make it 4-3 at half-time.

The roadrunners regrouped to pile on three goals in the third quarter to take a big lead. Carlo had another hard shot  clank off the crossbar and bounce onto the goal line, just missing his third goal. The roadrunners had just too much offense  this day and won it 10 – 6.  Everybody had a great game with H perhaps guzzling a little too much Gatorade at the half.
