The whole trip was full of surprises. For one example, we met a hiker who had just had a 800 mile hike on the Arizona Trail. As for a summary of the trip, we ventured to Flagstaff for the first night, then moved onto Kanab, where we found possibly the greatest hotel in the US. Of course, we did lots of hiking around the area, including the Zion and Escalante area, as well as some slot canyon hikes. We only got one night of camping because everything was booked up. Overall it was a very surprising trip, with a lot of hiking.
